So I turned the radio on, I turned the radio up.

I feel like chaos today.

Thursday night’s burning question was: “What happened to Lisa Loeb? Have we seen her since Firecracker?” Maybe you have the same thought plaguing you. If so, fret no more: she has had several releases. Trusty ol’ Wikipedia informed me that Firecracker was actually a ‘97 release (Dude, I’m so behind!), and was followed by Cake and Pie in 2002 (I think I remember the font used on that.), a children’s album called Catch the Moon in 2003, The Way It Really Is in 2004, and The Very Best of Lisa Loeb in January of this year. Look what all I’ve missed.
So now you know.

I finally got the new Firefox. It disagrees with Rhapsody often and makes me angry and sometimes I use foul language as a result. Gr. Argh.

I never knew that the brontosaurus never existed. I feel so cheated.

I read somewhere awhile back that the Book of Isaiah is a synecdoche for the Bible. Isaiah has 66 chapters, typically divided into 1-39 and 40-66 with regards to tone, style, and overall message. ‘pedia says, “the first seems to warn erring Judah of impending divine judgement through foreign conquest, while the second seems to provide comfort to a broken people.” In case you’re rusty on your Sunday School lessons, the Bible has 66 books: 1-39 are Genesis through Malachi of the Old Testament and 40-66 are Matthew through Revelation of the New Testament. Maybe we can describe the OT as a warning of impending divine judgment and the NT as providing comfort to a broken people. Hooked yet?
I’ve been meaning to do a study of Isaiah and possibly comparison with each “corresponding” book of the Bible. Want to do it too? If enough people do, we’ll set up a place here on the site for discussion.
Let me know.

I’ve been branching out in my musical tastes again. Expect info on that coming soon.

Peace, love, and Cake and Pie.

    yes to study of Isaiah:
there is nothing but goodness in there.

    NT provides more than comfort…
    ..
but i guess i will have to wait for the seemingly “only gonna happen if enough people are into it” discussion.
