[i’ve lost count of the bruises]

UPDATE: Sorry. My interweb connection was having technical difficulties right after a posted this. New music is up n’ running now for your listening pleasure.

I’ve been AWOL lately. Something about having the crap kicked out of me at work for the past three days and then having a dream they called me in this morning and waking up thinking I was late. I’d like to state that I’ve survived my first “official” code-called riot. There were cops and brandishing of sharp pointy objects toward my flesh and everything else you can possibily think of typical of a riot + a whole mess of surprises. And when I say “mess”, I mean it in the most literal sense. I’ll spare you the graphic details.
Today is a day to skip at least one of my classes. Screw graduating.

Yeah I know I’m late with the music of the week. Sorry. Whenever I work Mondays, music will more than likely be forwarded to Tuesdays due to time constraints. So here we go:

jane - Bitter:Sweet, The Decemberists
dismarum - The Honorary Title, Imogen Heap

I’ve started reading comics. Yep, you heard me. I’ve always been a pursuer of graphic novels but rarely purchase them en masse or frequently because, despite their coolness factor of combining a surreal or intense story with some awesome art, they wound my checkbook. I went to the local indie-geek comic store, past all the stories involving guys in tights and capes, and settled on this. At roughly $3.00 an issue with only one coming out a month, I think I can handle it. I bought a three volume anthology for pretty cheap and am ready to catch up to the storyline. Plus, I have a recent facination with zombies. Ironically, I can’t stand gore. Yeah I’m a freak.

It’s off to the gym with me now. Did you hear that jane? I’m going to the GYM now. I really AM GOING.

Really. Here I go. I better take pictures.

Please read Y: The Last Man and I know you may have a distaste for superheroes but please, please, please pick up a copy of the Kingdom Come trade paperback. The writing is as amazing as the art.

    Pwease?

Yay. I just finished the 4th book of Y and I’m waiting to get some more. It’ll be nice to have someone to converse with about it.
