Hrm. TD has recently been experiencing an influx of spam comments promoting anal sex with well endowed men and oral with “barely 18″ year old girls. We do not particularly endorse nor condemn any of these acts - however, we don’t really appreciate TD being a venue to which these things are advertised. Therefore, a spam filter has been implemented. It’s pretty reliable, but for some reason it’s made a couple of non-spam comments disappear and I can’t recover them. Oops. Sorry. If you’re not a spammer and your comments seem to be disappearing, WE DON’T HATE YOU. I’m currently tweaking what is and is not considered spam at the moment, so your patience is much appreciated.

I was going to ask why you weren’t using Akismet, or recommend using it in case you were using something else…it has worked flawlessly for me so far.

I was also going to make some witty inquiry as to the availability of well-endowed men and barely 18-year-old girls in my area. Jokingly, of course.

If things got really out of control, you could always manually approve comments, or only allow comments from people you have previously approved comments by.

Yah I just configured Akismet. It’s running pretty well. I’ve only had a couple of non-spam comments disappear. But then again, it could have been user error. I figured out how to restore them.

Hopefully all is well.
