Yesterday, thredd made a comment on the TD site: “so nobody cares about wot happens when the largest ‘civilian massacre’ happens in the history of our country?”

Yes, Dear Speedy, we do care. We just have weird ways of showing it. It did occur to me the other day how we at Team Daria seem to avoid speaking directly about major current events. I’ve thought about it, but been unable to find a solid reason to explain my own reluctance to address such matters. So now, here, I’ll share some of my thoughts and feelings regarding the Virginia Tech massacre.

i am sad about losses of my own particularly concering this day/4 years ago

i was not real happy: after seeing SOME news:
about the way people were bad mouthing campus security
and police

another reason why i just am so tired of “the news”

my father : THE MARINE, was furious.
and wanted to BEAT UP THE NEWS.

i had to get him a cigar and pur him a glass of milk.

tho i was still, staggeringly bewildered by mine own fork-knowledged
premonitions of event, which only my husband knew i had experienced.
