If you leave, I hope you need to come back.

Today I wore a hot dog hat to class. The most interesting part of walking through campus with a two-foot stuffed wiener atop my head was the ambivalent reactions of most people. Some people laugh. Some smile. Some stare. But others just looked at me and look calmly away, as if the scene was normal. It’s not normal. It’s bizarre, amusing, perhaps even annoying. Definitely different. The hardest part for me was to keep from laughing.

Now let’s talk about PMS. Guys, you need to know this: girls hate having mood swings even more than you hate them. True story. It actually feeds itself: girl can’t control her emotions; girl gets angry and frustrated at her inability to control her emotions; girl feeds the negative emotions with more negative, reckless emotions. It’s not pretty. It sucks. And it’s part of the reason today is a hide-under-the-covers-in-the-middle-of-my-bed-while-listening-to-Ill Lit-sort of day.

I love Ill Lit. Last time I plugged them, someone from Ill Lit stopped by to say Hi and Thanks for the support. The show of gratitude only increased my love for them the way Adam Weaver did by stopping by my humble (ha!) little livejournal blog several years ago.

Speaking of music you haven’t heard, be sure to check out Gina Chavez. Gina and our dear TD kerbey have been friends for many years now and used to play together. Now Gina’s released an album and it’s something you’ll want to hear.

Also, don’t forget kerbey’s own music. I love it. “Six Vinyl Chairs” was in my head the other day. That means she’s good. (Oh. Apparently that song is no longer on her myspace page. Okay. Nevermind then.)

And to top it all off, I will once again remind you that THE ROCKET SUMMER’S NEW ALBUM CAME OUT TODAY. I’ve heard it. It’s good. Really good. Really, really good. Some of the songs feel heavier and more burdened than his last album. It’s an adjustment. Not like a Ryan Adams Love is Hell to Cold Roses type of adjustment, but an adjustment just the same.

Well, that’ll get you started, anyway.

In other news, I bought a black macbook and a (RED) iPod nano because the nano was free with a rebate. I’m expecting them in the next day or so and I’m so excited I keep refreshing the FedEx tracking screens to see how far they’ve traveled. The data hasn’t changed since seven this morning, but I’m still at it with the refresh button.

Also, tomorrow I have a dentist appointment and should be getting the first trays for my Invisalign. I’m unbelievably happy about that. Words can’t express my excitement.

I dyed my hair again a couple days ago because Albertson’s is closing. I think it looks fantastic. I hope the color stays for awhile.

I have also found the miracle cure for the migraines that have plagued me over half my life. Imitrex really IS as fantastic as it claims to be. The problem is the twenty dollars necessary to buy one pill for people like me without insurance. The solution? Elect John Edwards for President and let him fix our health care system.

Seriously.
Let’s elect Edwards. Do it for me, people.

Peace, love, and music to counteract even the worst of mood swings.

I was going to ask if you were still planning on getting a macbook. You’ll love it! Let me know if you have any questions, although I’m sure that you’ll figure things out quickly.
