I know that I’ve been given more than beyond measure.
Today I’m getting things done, starting with this post. I had a little trouble waking up this morning after some revealing dreams (revealing in terms of my emotions). It’s funny how those things work.
But now, armed with my little bottle of Starbucks mocha frappuccino, I’m ready to accomplish everything today.
So.
Updates.
Music:
Good news.
Get ready for this, people:
The new Counting Crows album has a release date: November 6. Ohmygosh.
Even better news?
We don’t have to wait that long for new stuff. They will also be releasing a two-disc special version of August and Everything After (arguably their best album), including bonus songs and a complete bonus live CD. This one will hit stores on September 18.
This great news has kept me happy for about a week.
School:
Classes started yesterday. Should be a good semester. The only thing worth mentioning is my writing class has a specific clause on the syllabus forbidding students to eat raw meat in class.
That should tell you something.
Etcetera:
See Jane. See Jane beg.

This picture is to get everyone’s attention. I really want shirts from you. I realized this morning if I can get people to send me shirts, my quilt will have more meaning than if I just get the shirts from thrift stores or off ebay. And I don’t want to spend a million dollars making it, which is what this mostly boils down to.
Please send me one (or more!). I will name my children after you. Or maybe some randomly named inanimate objects. Same thing.
I am completely addicted to the scrabble game on facebook. I also like a mac game called Frenzic, but my trial period ran out and I refuse to buy it because I won’t get anything done if I keep playing it. I’m also terribly addicted to Big Brother and Rock of Love right now. I feel like a consumer whore, with my Starbucks drink next to me, talking about trashy reality shows, and feeling excitement about using my “I’m not a plastic bag.” bag that’s waiting for me in the next room.
Did I mention the cooking? After years of good intentions, I’ve finally started cooking and not eating out for every meal. I like red-colored things in general, but especially kitchen utensils. I bought red sauté pans, a cutting board with red edges, and a red knife set. That type of thing makes me giddy.
I think the caffeine is kicking in now.
Jane: over and out.
Oh, yeah.
Peace, love, and Counting Crows music.
