I have Music o’ the Week (yeah, that still exists), but I can’t currently upload it. I’ll do it later on today.

Modern vampire movies are always really lame. You would think that it would be possible to make a vampire flick that came across as decent and didn’t have a heavy metal soundtrack, but apparently this is more difficult than it sounds. I just don’t understand how come they have to be so goth. Anyway, what this is leading up to is that I have insomnia and have downloaded the entire series of Blood+. Now before you get all judgmental on me, I’d like to say…

- I normally do not watch anime
- I came across this show long ago, before it was on Adult Swim and just recently got around to viewing it due to the aforementioned insomnia
- I will defend this as a good show, despite it having the token goth character
- Some anime can be good. Actually, anime is either really good or really crappy. There doesn’t seem to be much in-between, in my experience. But yeah, this one is good.

Alright, so. I think everyone should watch it, if they’re inclined to have insomnia and somehow crave a vampire-themed adult cartoon. I’ve linked the entire first episode below. And oh yeah, if you ARE going to bother to watch it, let me set forth some rules so the show won’t be ruined for you.

First of all, watch a subtitled Japanese version. The English dubbed version on Adult Swim really sucks. Hardcore. I can’t stress it enough. It actually made me lose respect for Adult Swim. That brings me to rule #2 - you can’t watch just any subtitled Japanese version. The links below are to the GOOD Japanese-to-English translation. There are some REALLY BAD translations out there. Unfortunately, the good translation was done in a really clean font, which looks nice when you download the entire episode from a torrent, but not on YouTube - it can be hard to read in some places. DO NOT look for another translation. Trust me, it’ll just ruin it. And stay away from the English version. Ugh.

Yeah and if you decide to just download the visually pleasing, good quality, non-YouTube, pristine episode (or you’re now a believer, and want all 50 episodes) in it’s entirety, this is the torrent to get.

I’m pretty sure I come off as a blathering idiot, but I haven’t really slept in 3 days and this is as eloquent as I’m getting. Just watch the show.
