The leaves are falling
From my trees. They are crowding
Up my driveway. Oh.
Who doesn’t love winter, eh?

You count it strange, so once did I.

The year is ending.
I have a million words I could use to describe 2007: unexpected, epiphanic, painful, pitiful, renewing, rejuvenating, regressing, digressing, and progressing. One word, however, to sum it all up: emotional.

I feel oddly invasive sometimes at work. This is coming from someone whose job is to regularly strip search people, monitor them in the shower, listen in on their phone conversations, periodically toss their room, and occasionally talk about a past rape/drug problem/beating/*insert something emotionally traumatic here* if I think prying into their psyche [...]
