[6:58, are you sure where my spark is]

Today is a day for a geek’s post. I am unapologetic in it.

A co-worker and I got into a debate yesterday about the worst/best movies of all time. It’s infinitely easier to make a solid ranking list of what you deem as Worst, as opposed to Best. Behold, my much lauded opinion on the subject is as follows:

Jennifer’s List of Worst Movies Ever…..Ever

1. The Rocky Horror Picture Show
2. Transporter 2
3. The Ring 2
4. Catwoman
5. The Brothers Grimm

6. Titanic
7. The Fantastic Four
8. Battlefield Earth
9. Pearl Harbor
10. The Day After Tomorrow

Granted, a few of those I subjected myself to were known to be in poor taste (ie - Catwoman, Battlefield Earth, The Fantastic Four). Furthermore, while the Top 5 are pretty secure in their standing, the lower half of the Ten are to be demoted/promoted in turn as I watch more movies. Oh, and please don’t argue with me in regards to Titanic; Celine Dion had a major hit off of it. That is all I have to say.

My list of Best is much more fluid and apt to change, though most seem to be movies that have withstood the tide of my fickle temperament over the years. I think ranking films on the scale of “greatest” is on par with picking out your favorite band, or even worst, your favorite song. It doesn’t seem feasible. Given that I was put in a position to rank and then defend my choices, I’ve come up with the following (to be changed, rearranged, and totally redone as my life progresses/digresses/regresses):

Jennifer’s Top Ten Best Movies To Watch….Ever

1. Fight Club
2. The Shawshank Redemption
3. Pieces of April
4. Amelie
5. The Royal Tenenbaums
6. Pulp Fiction
7. Reservoir Dogs
8. Blow
9. Juno
10. Shaun of the Dead

I will defend my #10 pick to the rotting, human flesh-covered teeth if needed.

Oh and to change the subject completely, does anyone happen to know how stringent Newegg.com’s return policy is? Something horrific happened to my brand new processor/motherboard combo that caused my AMD64 X2 5000+ to run at 95

My thoughts as I read your first top ten list was something like:
    (reading number one) Ohhhh, man…
    (reading number two) Ughhh…
    (reading number three) Oh, geez…
(reading number four) Oh, man!… (in an increasing tone of fear and recognition)
    (reading number five) Oh, geez!!…
    etc.
Oddly, the last five just had an “huh” effect on me.

As for the Best top ten, I’m surprised to see Juno on there and not something like Garden State or Serenity. In my head, I thought, “Scoop! Scoop!” Or even I Am Legend. Or…what else was it I recently loved? Oooh, Half Nelson. Oh, man. I need to watch that again. Flawless. Anyway.

I know when you wrote that line about defending your number ten pick that you were soooo proud of yourself. Yeah. I would be too. I’d probably giggle in public when I thought of it.

You know what movie always looked horrific to me but I was afraid to watch it and find out and subsequently destroy a little bit of my faith in Matthew McConaughey? This one.

    So anyway.
    I miss Heath Ledger.

    arc/frost pre-t4 is fine.

    with that said…
    mage = aoe farmer
    rogue = raid dps

Ohhh man. I hate hate hate frost. Though actually, I’ll probably respec to it for AoE farming primals for spellstrike stuff if I decide I want it. Anyhow, yeah rogue pwns in the DPS area, so my scope of “big” damage is limited to the max dam output a mage can get with what gear combo; in that sense I needed to know if an arcane centric build is more advantageous than a fire one.

Hey I have seen a hunter at the top of the charts before though. ;) Ranged DPS isn’t all that bad.

Frost isn’t that bad, plus it’s a life saver if you end up PvPing while farming. You’ll want spellstrike stuff so don’t skip it. Arcane is nice because of these major points, less threat, and less reliance on hit rating. The second point being important from a gear standpoint where you may not reach 163 hit for a while.
