[yes, it’s true. i do love my birthday]
I really really do. I also love the fact that the majority of the people of my life - family, friends, co-workers, and even strangers - humor my childlike enthusiasm for this day. I include ’strangers’ as a group of people because I am not beyond telling the checkout lady at the supermarket that I am feeling “FANTASTIC BECAUSE TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY” after she asks me how I am doing.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think it’s weird when a sex scene comes on during a movie? I understand the adage “sex sells.” However, I always think that there’s a moment of awkwardness when in a full theater and there’s a 10 second montage of simulated sex (which invariably includes the female keeping her bra on). Now don’t get me wrong - I don’t mind movies with sex in them; I just ask that if it is to be included, make it part of the movie as opposed to a fan service, otherwise you are due me inevitably making tacky jokes at your directing expense. Oh and I saw 21 last night, which was pretty good, minus a sex scene.
I’m due to play disc golf with jane. I should end this here.
