You have one of those swank LA lifestyles now!

I took a suicide call last night and spent 37 rather excruciating minutes attempting to be soothing over the phone while trying to subtlety fanangle information as to where the guy was at, what he looked like, and how close he was to actually killing himself. I also learned that I can come across as an active listener via lots of "uh huhs," "oh reallies?," and "yes, I understands" in between putting that line on mute and contacting 911 via another phone.

I saw this special on the Discovery Channel about how they design skyscrapers in metro places along fault lines. The general layout is that the buildings are put on this foundation of giant ball bearings and it's supposed to sway a hell of a lot, rather than crumble. I don't think I'd like that sensation.

.........I want to play CoD5. Sigh.
