My internet has been down for about three days. I chose to use that time constructively and discovered that Civ4 is more addicting than methamphetamine. Working on fission while Korea is just discovering the steam engine and then nuking the hell out of them for continually demanding that you trade them your hard-earned uranium for some corn is a highly satisfying experience.

I cut my hand this morning while slicing an orange. I failed to notice until the resulting rivulet of blood dripped off my arm and onto the kitchen table. My sense of awareness seems to be going to crap. Physical self-inflicted wounds, no matter if accidental, freak me the hell out. I wonder what that says about my ego or level of self-love. Other people inflicting physical wounds on me have little effect though. I wonder what that says about my level of self-worth.

That last part was said in jest, by the way.

Fall has settled into me.
