What is Team Daria & Co.? TD&Co. is the extended network of family and friends of TD members.

Are you in any way affiliated with MTV’s popular, animated TV show, Daria? No. What would give you that idea?

But MTV’s popular, animated TV show was called Daria, like you guys, and there was a Jane. You have a Jane. And one of you wears those Daria-like emo glasses. A) We’re not guys; we’re girls. B) Her real name is not Jane. Her real name is Rebecca, and her daddy gets mad when people call her Jane. C) Dismarum wears the glasses because she can’t see things that are far away. D) We’re all a little emo when we want to be, aren’t we? E) Yo momma.

But MTV’s popular, animated TV show, Daria, was rooted in sarcasm. You all are dripping with it. Yes. Can you bring us some towels? Those soft, fluffy ones, please.

Okay, seriously. You’re ripping off MTV’s popular, animated TV show, Daria, aren’t you? The current members of Team Daria were born in 1981, 1982, and 1983. The show was created in 1997 and cancelled in 2001. You do the math.

Is TD like VD? Yes, except that it’s not a disease and can’t be transmitted by sexual contact.

Is TD short for STD? We plead the fifth.

Do you drink coffee? Three out of four Team Darians regularly drink coffee. The fourth has other means of caffeine addiction.

Can you swim? Less than half of TD could survive if thrown into the middle of the ocean without a life jacket.

Will you marry me? We get this question all the time. Unfortunately, one of the members of TD is already married and doesn’t believe in polygamy; one is entirely devoted to Bosco; one only crushes on about one guy every two years; the fourth is currently in rebound-mode and shying away from all commitments. And as for the honorary member, well, her big cousins are protective of her and if you so much as glance at her, you might die. So the odds are against you. Can I blog on the TD site? Well, in a word: No. At this time, five bloggers is likely going to be more than enough. But don’t be discouraged. Being an official member of TD&Co. comes with many perks, benefits, and otherwise useless crap. Plus, all visitors to the TD site are encouraged to register, comment, and participate in online and other TD-related activities.
